The  orange color in the model is representing the  Table/C-Axis of the stone. Correct Star orientation is displayed in the bright orange sections. All of those orange sections are also referred to as "sheen" in the rough Star Sapphire.

Click the Video  to see the stone rotate. Our view of the stone will be as well the direction of the light used to see the "sheen". As you see the rotation you will notice the different color shades  of orange. The brightest areas indicate the correct orientation.
